Day Trip to the Snow!

We took a little trip to the snow today. It's been raining all week, which means snow up in the mountains. We knew there would be a slight break in the storm this morning, so we headed up the road about 40 miles and had a great time sledding and playing in the snow. We invited our friends, the Santos family to join us. Everyone had lots of fun!

I can't believe I squeezed Zoe into the baby bjorn while she was wearing that snow suit.

The snow was fresh powder. Perfect!

Sitting up

Hi. I'm Zoe and I'm 5 months old. I can sit up. That's my friend, Pig.

Christmas

We had a great Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve at my mom and dad's house and then were home for Christmas morning and Santa's presents. Christmas afternoon we headed out to my uncle's house in Stockton. We were tired from all of the traveling, but it was good to be with family. Here are some shots from Xmas Eve and Xmas morn.

Waiting patiently to open presents. It's tradition to open one present at a time, starting with the youngest family member, going all the way up to my grandparents. Present opening can take HOURS! We've changed tradition a little bit and we let the four little ones open presents first (without the adult presents) but they still have to do it one at a time.

More waiting.

Another recent tradition is that we all wear pajamas all day and all night. Adults, too. It makes for a very comfortable day of opening presents (remember it takes HOURS) and of eating lots of yummy food.

Santa brought Luke a scooter and Zoe a walker.
