Luke and I had some fun making cookies this afternoon. I think he is a pastry chef in the making!
Notice the new shirt.
Look closely and you can pick out the ones Luke decorated.
Just a glimpse into the lives of Terri, Travis, Luke, and Zoe.

Luke was given this shirt as a hand me down from our friends, the Lambs. It was a favorite of his and he wore it when he was about 3 months until he was 5 months. I put it on Zoe yesterday. She's not even two months yet.
Luke and I attended his first pre-preschool class today. It is a once a week class for kids his age and their mommies to be introduced to the classroom setting. We started with free choice time, then circle time, then outside time, then snack time, then centers and art time, and finally story time. This is going to be a great opportunity for Luke to practice sharing and playing with other kids...somewhat of a challenge for him right now. It will also help him follow rules and listen to the teacher. We both had a good time today. Luke LOVED exploring the classroom and playing with a slew of new toys, books, and puzzles. We like his teacher, Ms. Kieli very much and are looking forward to making new friends.

I took Luke to the California Capital Airshow in Rancho Cordova on Sunday. It is held at Mather Airport, which used to be an Air Force base. The big attraction this year was the Thunderbirds. They are the Air Force equivalent of the Navy's Blue Angels.
Included in the admission was a free ride on the light rail that connects Folsom with downtown Sacramento (and beyond), so I decided we'd finally check it out. We parked at a lot in Folsom and rode to Rancho Cordova where they had buses shuttling people to and from the show. It was a great way to get to the show.
When we first arrived, an F-18 was performing. To say that it was incredibly loud would be an understatement. Luke wasn't into it and it looked like it might be a short trip, but he rallied and we had a great day. We checked out many of the planes on the ground while we were there. The last plane we saw was the F-22, which was about as loud as the F-18. I've never seen such a manuverable jet! If you ever get the chance to see one fly, don't miss it! Around the end of the F-22 flight, Luke, looking weary, said "I'm ready to go." We took off before the Thunderbirds, but I heard later that the F-22 was the highlight of the show.

The largest plane there. The front pops up so that they can move cargo in and out. This picture doesn't do its size justice. It was enormous!
