Preschool

Luke started preschool last week. We are doing a co-op preschool so I am required to work once a week in the classroom. He can go to school up to four days a week. We are going to send him twice a week so he'll go once with me and once without. Last week was just an orientation day, so I was with him. Then the next day we had a field trip to a water park. Tomorrow he goes for the first time by himself and he's already expressed that he's not too fond of that idea. We'll see how it goes in the morning.

Next to his cubby.

That's his teacher, Mrs. Wilcox. Luke was much more interested in the popsicle.

Sacramento Zoo

We had our first free Saturday in a long time and the weather was nice and cool so we packed up the kids and headed to the Sacramento Zoo. We had been to this zoo about a year ago for a birthday party. Zoe was just a few weeks old. I think both kids enjoyed the trip this time. I loved seeing the tiger and her little baby cub out playing together. The jaguar was also very cool. Luke liked the howler monkeys. Zoe thought every animal was a dog.

Ostriches are big.

Through the year...

I took a picture of Zoe on this octopus stuffed animal every month to see how she's grown. Take a look...

(6 months) I spaced out on the sign this month.

She's a big girl!

Swinging fun at the park

Just a couple shots from a recent park visit...

Boating with Uncle Brian

Uncle Brian came for a quick visit and he took us out on his boat. We went down the street to Folsom Lake for some fun tubing and lunch on the water. Travis even surfed. It was great.
