Party time!

We went to a great birthday party this past weekend for a friend of Luke's who turned 4. The theme was "camping" and as you will see from these pictures, the kids had an awesome time at camp.

Fishing with his buddy.

Panning for gold.

Water guns were used to shoot little paper cups off of the fence. Luke REALLY liked the water guns.

They even had pony rides! What a party!

Luke wasn't too sure about the pony ride.

Chow time.

Looking for frogs.

Bike ride to hatchery

We took the kiddos for a ride in the bike trailer this weekend with our friends, the Santos'. We rode along the river down to the fish hatchery where a zillion fish are raised to be released all over northern california. You can buy fish food to feed the fish and there is a nice little visitor's center with some educational information.

It was a beautiful day for a bike ride! The kids did great, although we think they were a little crowded. Zoe must have been comfortable though, since she fell asleep both on the way to the hatchery and on the way home. We stopped for a picnic lunch along the water before enjoying the ride back home. It was a super fun day.

Rainbow trout, I think.

Feeding the fish.

Buddies.

We stopped for our picnic at the Sac State aquatic center. You can rent kayaks here and learn to windsurf and do all kinds of water sports. We actually got to see a little bit of a crew competition going on that day. The boys found some basketballs and had a good time shooting hoops.

Zoe!

Daddy fed me outside tonight. I'm messy.
