I try to do fun things with the kids all of the time. But when Travis is out of town, I try to plan something even more fun to do to help wear the kids out and to help fill the days with happiness. Happy kids = happy mommy. So today, I took the kids into Sacramento to go to Fairytale Town. This is a great little park that is full of play-sets based on fairy tales and nursery rhymes. There are also lots of live animals and the whole place is beautifully landscaped. We saw Charlotte the spider, Eeyore the donkey, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Three Little Pigs, and Peter Rabbit, to name just a few. Luke got to help water Mr. McGregor's Garden, go through King Arthur's Castle, climb aboard a Pirate Ship, slide down the Old Woman's Shoe, ride in the Little Engine that Could and more! We packed a picnic lunch and really had a great time. I can't wait to go back. (for some reason, the first picture was put into a link so if you want to see Mary's little lamb, click on that big huge long link.) I took all of these pictures with my iphone and getting them onto the blog is a little different than our other camera.)
